„Irgendwie haben wir da ein gröberes Problem.“

Video:

„Somehow we have a coarser problem“.

The journalist Hans Rauscher in the third part of the talk with economy about dark oriental despots, about European nationalism, about strange figures in the US and about authoritarian mentality in our society.

Economy: Hans Rauscher, also in an international context one of the most renowed journalists in our country, now away from the media business to the convinced European: what is your assessment of the future of Europe, also in resurgence of the national states like Polen or Hungary?
Hans Rauscher: It is not only Polen or Hungary. If you continue, according also France, if Marie Le Pen wins the elections, that would be an apocalypse.
But already at our periphery, Turkey, i was always against it, this is no European country. Off. Also from mentality. This is our immediate neighbor and if there is a change now into a dark oriental despotism, this does not have any effect.
Hungary, Polen and Slovakia, this is also such of a wiggle candidate. And in Italy, if Bepe Grillo wins, that would be a nasty catastrophe, almost as badly as in France.
The liberal democracy and the European idea of a united liberal Europe is under great pressure. And the greatest pressure comes only through this strange figure over there in the US when he say I am not interessted in Europe.
Then the Netherlands, this Wilders (Acc. Gert) has the chance to win the next election. It will be necessary to form an alliance of moderates and liberals. This time, it really is about something, now it's about the "Wurst“ („sausage").
Occasionally I am losing my braveness, I think it never stops, you always have to fight for your achievements. But now we have to do this.

The topic is migration...

... the alien theme! Everything else is secondary. Globalisation: Yes, the jobs are moving away. And the technical revolution: Yes, we do not know yet what is going on. At the moment you have a serious cultural uncertainty. In Europe and in the US too. And this has to do with the fact that a significant part of society is very different and there is no sign of a change.
That concerns not only the migrants who are here in Austria since one year. The much more serious is that a large part of those does not rise up here. A large part, only some of them a rising up: people of Asia, of Arabia, Eastern European.
There is a large part where the third generation is worse off, less learned at school, found no work and bringing nationalism in our country at the same time.
The Islam is not the problem at all, it is nationalism, the authoritarian mentality and those which are here now have a significant share, demand their rights too which is absolutely justified.
But still we do not know how to deal with them. This is the part of the uncertainty which I understand at Pegida, at Afd. I can not support it, but I can understand it. Somehow we have a coarser problem.
