CURE's mission is to develop innovative and usage oriented systems utilizing methodological and qualitative usability and usability engineering knowledge.
Complexity is everywhere around us and technological advancements are changing almost every aspect of our lives. The quality of the interface between a system and its user determines the system's value, whether it be a product, a piece of technology, a specific service, the environment we live in, or some piece of information.

Usability is the key factor in deconstructing complexity. Usage orientation has to be taken into account explicitly and seriously. Introducing Usability Engineering into development processes from the very beginning will have an immediate and sustained impact on quality and innovation.

Usability Research and the utilization of respective knowledge are of immediate economic, social and cultural significance. It pays off to make usability a priority. Usability Engineering is the crucial link between technological advancements, application fields, usage needs, and economic interests.
